Camp Description:

This week’s course helps students bring their imagination to life by creating a dream miniature room that reflects their personality. They will design and craft an interactive space using various materials and artistic techniques, including personalized characters. Students will also explore transforming flat ideas into 3D models, making the design process fun and unique.

1. Dream Room Painting – Design the ideal mini room and character with detailed 2D drawings using markers, paints, and cardboard.

2. Handcrafted Clay Furniture – Build miniature furniture pieces using air-dry clay, turning 2D designs into 3D creations.

3. Clay Figurine Creations – Sculpt personalized clay figurines to live in their mini rooms, with movable parts for added fun.

4. Shrink Plastic Character Keychain Designs – Turn their clay character designs into keychains or necklaces using shrink plastic, creating a portable and personalized accessory.

By the end of the week, students will take home their dream mini room and a unique keychain or necklace to carry their creativity everywhere.

 

這週的課程將帶領孩子們打造夢想中的迷你小房間。我們會從設計理想中的小房間和公仔角色的三視圖開始，並學會將平面設計轉換成立體作品。隨後，學生們將利用黏土親手建立屬於他們的小房間，並捏塑出各自創造的公仔角色，這些可移動的公仔將為他們的小屋增添互動樂趣。在課程的尾聲，學生們將使用熱塑片將自己的公仔角色轉化為可愛的鑰匙圈或項鍊，這樣他們就能將這份個性化的小飾品帶在身邊，隨時感受自己的創意與心意。

Camp Schedule & Fee:

Full Day Camp (Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 3:00 pm): $580 

(Registration Fee $80 + Camp Fee $500) / 1 Week 

• Class Time: Mon - Fri, 9 am - 3 pm 

• Additional Hours: 3 pm - 5 pm ($20 per hour)

• All art materials are included

• Lunch is not included. Please pack your lunch daily! Studio will offer light snacks.

What Campers Learn:

• Brainstorm training 

• Ideation development 

• Ability to use clay sculpting, sketching, and painting techniques to achieve their vision

• 2D to 3D design conversion through character sketches

• Clay modeling skills

• Basic understanding of structure and spatial design

• Acrylic painting skill

• Shrink Plastic making skills

• Ability to use and combine different types of materials (clay, tools, etc.)

• A presentation of Art Reflection (Public speech training)

 

What Campers Create:

• A complete character design sketch (including front, side, and back views)

• A complete scene design sketch (for their dream house and environment)

• A personalized dream house made of clay

• Two movable figurines to play with (based on your design)

• A keychain or accessory made of shrink-plastic 

• A public presentation
