The year of the Dragon is hopping to 2023

 

龍乘錦鯉。龍年進寶。年年有餘

"Riding on the back of a splendid carp, the dragon leads treasures in the new year. May there be a surplus every year."

 

The dragon riding on a beautiful carp represents the coming of wealth. The carp spitting out coins means plenty of prosperity, as the Chinese word for 'fish' sounds like 'surplus.' This symbol expresses the hope for surplus and prosperity every year."

龍騎著美麗的鯉魚，魚口噴發出錢幣，代表財富的到來。金錢幣做八個，「八」這個數字，暗示著發財。在中國傳統文化中，「魚」與「餘」諧音。 這個符號表達了年年有餘、繁榮昌盛的願望。”

 

"The class requires a minimum of 6 students (including) and up. If the class does not reach the minimum capacity, we will schedule you for an available class or provide a full refund."

The Year Of Dragon Clay Decor:

Option A:Clay Decor $85

IN-STUDIO DISCOUNT:  $5 off when payment is made in-studio

Art Materials: 

  • 9” x 9” Wood Square Plaque 

  • Air-dry Clay

  • Mini Paper Money

  • Special paints

  • A Chinese Knot

Additional add-on: $15 for A mini spring scroll (Also need an extra 30 mins. So the class will end at 6:00 pm)

Two styles: A: Write the words. B: Making the number

Option B: Chinese lantern painting + Chinese Spring Festival couplet$75

  • 一個四字春聯-福龍迎祥: A Spring scroll with four characters

       (Fortune and Dragon Greet Auspiciousness to convey good wishes and blessings.）

  • 一個燈籠-龍年進寶: A lantern with Chinese painting

       在聲聲爆竹聲中，喜迎龍年到來伴隨著滾滾而來的金元寶寓意：龍年進寶

       (We happily welcome the Dragon Year and celebrate with the firecrackers.  The rolling golden ingots represent good fortune: "Prosperity comes in the Year of the Dragon.")

  • ㄧ組福與春斗方: A set of square scrolls

       (Chinese characters on it - Joyful and Lucky)

 

Art Materials: 

  • A lantern red in color

  • 1 light bulb for the lantern

  • Chinese paintbrushes (Tools of Calligraphy)

  • Chinese brush ink

  • A Chinese Spring Festival couplet (color of characters: golden ink or classic black ink)

  • A set of square scrolls (comes with 2 pieces)​

Class Policy:

  • Registration and payment must be completed at least 2 days in advance.

  • Your spot is secured upon payment.

  • No refunds.

  • You can transfer this class to peers or students older than the original sign-up student.

  • Rescheduling is allowed only once with a minimum one week notice. It is subject to availability. (Rescheduling depends on the studio’s available time slot).

  • We are not responsible for missed classes due to lateness.
